Phelan Segur is probably one of the best value Bordeaux wines. It is considered one of the finest estates omitted from the 1855 Bordeaux Classification, neighbouring famous Chateau Montrose and Calon Segur in St Estephe. This very well known wine is highly rated by wine critics. The wine shows the ripe character of 2009 vintage, at the same time has the perfect balance of freshness and elegance. Expressive notes of sweet black fruits, plums, lead pencil and vanilla and oak, opulent and smooth. Medium to full body with fine, well-integrated tannins.
It's a great opportunity to taste their one of the best vintage since 1990 as claimed by Robert Parker.
