E. Pira & Figli is a very small estate in Borolo. While its history dates back to centuries, in 1990 Chiara Boschis bought the estate from E. Pira & Figli after the loss of Luigi Pira. Chiara Boschis produces wines from organically grown Nebbiolo. Her Barolos are known by their approachability, openness, elegance, and lush, intense aromas. Grapes are fermented in steel tanks and aged in new French oak for 2 years and one year in bottle before release.
Mosconi is a tiny vineyard, 0,8 hectare, growing deep and dark and fruits producing powerful, full-bodied and masculine wines. The wine is rich and complex with black cherries, plums, ripe strawberries followed by chocolate and mocha, tobacco, licorice, and woody accents. This wine will age so beautifully.
