Barrua by Agricola Punica, so-called "Sardinian Sassicaia", is made by the same people of the iconic Tuscan red wine Sassicaia, and has an incredible popularity. This smooth and dense wine has complex scents of red cherries, dark plum, cassis and aromatic herbs, spices, notes of liquorice. Velvety tannins with long finish. Despite its warm notes, it is an elegant wine that shows exceptional workmanship! Hand harvested, aged 18 months in French oak barrels, 30% new, another 12 months bottle age.

93 points, James Suckling - "Lovely precision to this red with berries, nutmeg and hints of stones. Subtle dried meat, too. Medium body, pretty texture and a refined finish. Always excellent".
